Mahindra SUVs: Since the introduction of the brand-new Mahindra Thar, the XUV700 SUV, and most recently, the Mahindra Scorpio N and the Mahindra Scorpio Classic, Mahindra has been on the upswing.
Having said that, the corporation manages to sell 29,852 units in August 2022, recording its best-ever sales as a result of all the hard work done in the background. Furthermore, given that Mahindra has received more than 1 lakh reservations for the new Scorpio N SUV, we anticipate that these figures are only the beginning.
In addition, Mahindra has received 1.5 lakh reservations for the previously released XUV700 SUV. Therefore, as Mahindra expands the manufacturing of both of these SUVs, we anticipate a rise in sales figures.
Mahindra | Sales | Aug 2022 Sales Vs | Growth % |
August 2022 | 29,852 | August 2021 | 86.9 |
August 2021 | 15,973 | July 2022 | 6.4 |
July 2022 | 28,053 |
Customers are eager to wait for their new Mahindra SUVs despite the lengthy wait times, as Mahindra now has orders for more than 2.5 lakh vehicles. It is also important to note that some versions have waiting periods of up to two years.
Mahindra SUVs: Among the top
In terms of the headline data, Mahindra passenger car sales increased by more than 86 percent year over year in August 2022 to 29,852 units, up from just 15,786 units in the same month in 2021.
Having said that, Mahindra is now testing the next 5-door version of the Mahindra Thar SUV, and we anticipate that it will surpass the new-generation Mahindra Thar’s current level of success (3-door variant).
Additionally, because both SUVs share a nearly identical platform, we anticipate the price of the next Mahindra Thar 5-door SUV to be comparable to that of the Mahindra Scorpio N SUV. Will prevent direct rivalry, we anticipate the next Thar 5-door to have fewer features than the Scorpio N version, which is priced similarly.
Mahindra SUVs: Upcoming electric XUV400 SUV
The impending all-electric XUV400 SUV has previously been teased by Mahindra on Ganesh Chaturthi. This vehicle is anticipated to compete with models like the Tata Nexon EV and Tata Nexon EV Max.
Mahindra held a significant event last month to promote its upcoming electric SUV models, during which the firm presented the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09 electric SUVs. Mahindra also showcased its new INGLO electric platform, which will support the aforementioned electric SUVs, along with these SUVs.
Despite this, Mahindra is one of the brands with the quickest rate of growth in India, and as the company boosts its capacity for production, we anticipate a sharp increase in sales for Mahindra. It will be challenging for the manufacturer to manage supply and demand with its planned launches.
Mahindra sold 29,852 units in August 2022, far surpassing its own performance. The waiting times for some models can be as long as two years, so these numbers might potentially climb as the automaker raises the manufacturing of its vehicles.
