All about Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

According to what we already know, the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara XL will offer a similar design language and share the same mechanical and structural underpinnings as the regular Grand Vitara. For those who are curious, the Grand Vitara has strong dynamics and is built on Suzuki’s Global-C platform.

To accommodate the extra row of seating, the wheelbase is anticipated to be longer. The Grand Vitara XL will compete against vehicles like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and MG Hector Plus if it is introduced in India.

Specifications and Features

The new Grand Vitara XL 7-seater SUV should have a similar dashboard design and features inside. However, the cabin will include a three-row seating arrangement and excellent occupant comfort. This seven-seater SUV is anticipated to include features including a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera system, HUD, six airbags, automated climate control, and a sizable panoramic sunroof.

The forthcoming 7-seater Grand Vitara will be offered with two engine options: a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5L K15C Smart hybrid petrol engine. The powertrain options, however, are likely to stay the same. An eCVT transmission is mated to the 1.5L TNGA Atkinson hybrid engine, which produces 115 horsepower in total.

On the other hand, the 1.5L K15C Smart hybrid petrol engine produces 103 horsepower and 117 Nm of maximum torque. This engine will be available with either a new 6-speed automated torque converter transmission or a 5-speed manual gearbox. The new Grand Vitara XL’s official launch date in India has not yet been announced by Maruti Suzuki India, although we anticipate it to happen in FY2024.
