Maxus Mifa 7: Photos of Revolutionary Electric MPV with swappable Battery Technology and Sleek Design leaked, all you need to know

Maxus Mifa 7: The Mifa 9 electric MPV was shown at the 2023 Auto Expo, and there are rumours that it is also being looked at for the Indian electric car market. Images of the new Maxus Mifa 7 electric MPV have been leaked online. It is the newest electric MPV from the brand. It comes after the Mifa 9 electric MPV, which comes out in China and Europe in the middle of 2022.

The Future of Electric MPVs with swappable Battery Technology

We hope that Mifa 7 comes here instead of Mifa 9 because Mifa 7 has something that Mifa 9 doesn’t. Changeable battery technology. Maxus Mifa 7 will come in two different forms. A BEV and a BEV with a battery can be changed out. Maxus brand falls under SAIC-GM-Wuling JV. We don’t expect every car made by this JV to make it to our shores. For India, the Wuling Air EV will be called the MG Comet. Chances are the Maxus Mifa 7 and Baojun Yep e-SUV will come to the U.S. under the MG name. Similar to the Baojun 530 sold as the MG Hector and the Maxus D90 sold as the MG Gloster.

In terms of price, functions, and size, Mifa 7 will be better than BYD e6. In terms of size, the Maxus Mifa 7 is 4907 mm long, 1885 mm wide, 1756 mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2975 mm. We have a sleek MPV design with folding doors on the outside. The futuristic front end and sleek wheels stand out. I think of a Honda Odyssey when I see the side beltline. The rear outline is kept minimal. Taillights with smoked clear lenses give them more personality.

Specifications of Maxus Mifa 7

Unlike Mifa 9, Mifa 7 is expected to have a battery that can be switched out. We don’t know how big the battery is in Mifa 7. CLTC testing shows that the Mifa 9’s 90 kWh CATL battery gives it a range of 560 km per charge. But Mifa 9’s length, width, height, and wheelbase are all 5270, 2000, 1840, and 3200. Since Mifa 7 is a smaller car, its battery is also likely to be smaller. The electric motor in the Maxus Mifa 7 has a top speed of 180 km/h and makes 180 kW (241 bhp). Even though the size of the battery isn’t certain, it will have an NMC ternary battery from CATL-SAIC JV. The 2,220 kg of Kerb weight is a lot. A Tata Hexa, which doesn’t have any heavy EV parts, weighs more than that.

China is really into technology that lets you swap batteries. Nio, which makes the electric hypercar EP9, runs 1330 battery changing stations in China and 12 in Europe at the moment. SAIC, which is owned by the Chinese government, has teamed up with CATL on the same thing. Roewe, MG, and Maxus will soon get battery-swapping technology, starting with the Rising Auto R7. The company wants to set up 300 battery swapping stations by the end of 2023 and 3000 by the end of 2025.
