Ola Move OS 3.0: In a week, every S1, S1 Pro electric scooter will have the MoveOS 3.0 update, which Ola Electric has said will be made accessible to all customers starting today. Features including regenerative braking, hill hold, proximity warning, and moods will be included in the MoveOS 3.0 update.

Many features that were promised much earlier are now included in the MoveOS 3 upgrade, including hill-hold assistance, moods, proximity alert, and regenerative braking. But the addition of fast-charging capability is the most significant feature that has been added to the S1 scooter lineup. According to Ola, the S1 e-scooters can build up over a 50km range in just 15 minutes when connected to a fast charger.
Bolt, Vintage, and Eclipse are the currently available moods, and they each change the TFT dash’s visual theme and the audio played through its onboard speakers. In addition, depending on the mood chosen, the scooter also generates various sounds. The scooter can “detect” when you are close by thanks to the proximity alarm, at which point it will instantly unlock. Ola asserts that the scooter may operate in “Vacation” mode for more than 200 days without requiring a charge thanks to the MoveOS 3.0 update.
The electric scooter can be shared with others through profile sharing without disclosing the passcode (since the S1 e-scooters do not have a conventional key). The ‘Party’ option, which allows the scooter’s lights to flash in time with whatever song you play, is a previously unseen function.
In addition, according to Ola, this update has improved connectivity, sped up home charging times, and provided a more accurate estimate of charging durations in addition to a faster touch response.

A handful of these features also serve to improve the mechanical aspects, even if the majority of them are focused on the electronic side of things. To begin with, the eagerly anticipated hill-hold feature will enable you to stop on an uphill with just a light touch of the brake pedal. In reality, the S1 electric scooter now has the ability to detect when it is inclining and immediately apply the brakes. Three levels of regenerative braking, which gradually boost the regen functionality and allow you to amass the energy you spend while slowing down to steadily charge the battery, are another feature.
