Numerous issues, including car prices, are to blame for Pakistan’s declining car sales. The economic downturn in Pakistan, coupled with rising car costs, has reduced the average person’s purchasing capacity. The automobile sector in Pakistan is confronted with various obstacles, including a decrease in demand, a rise in sticker costs as a result of currency depreciation, elevated taxes, and costly vehicle financing.
Production halted
A number of automakers, including Honda, Suzuki, and Toyota, stopped producing cars at their respective operations in Pakistan last month due to a drop in sales.
In Pakistan, a total of 20,871 cars were sold between July and October 2023. Three-wheeler and motorbike sales also decreased.
