Pravaig Defy: The Pravaig Defy, an electric SUV from the Bengaluru-based Pravaig Dynamics, has finally made its public debut. Priced at Rs 39.5 lakh, the brand’s second offering has just been released (ex-showroom). According to Praviag, the new EV SUV can be reserved for a deposit of Rs 51,000, and delivery of the Defy will start in the third quarter of 2023. It should be mentioned that the vehicle used for the launch was a pre-production prototype and that the finished version would be superior.

All about the exterior
The Pravaig Defy has an aggressive design aesthetic that gives it a strong masculine appearance mixed with crossover features. The brand describes the styling theme as “brutal sophistication.” The front design has sharp angles and an LED light strip that extends throughout its entire width. The SUV has a massive profile and an upper half that is painted black, yet its angular windows and sloping roof give it a dynamic appeal. The strong character line that runs from the rear fender across the width of the car is neatly blended with the tailgate and a horizontal LED light bar.
Additionally, Pravaig claims that the SUV has a “particularly dynamic” shape and a 0.33 drag coefficient. According to the manufacturer, the panoramic fixed roof will come as standard on the SUV. The Defy EV SUV comes equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and 255/65R18 tyres as standard.

According to Pravaig, the interior upholstery of the Defy SUV is made of recyclable fibres and vegan leather (recycled materials like PET). Electric seats with six-way power reclining, ventilation, and self-adjusting temperature control are a few of the amenities included in the Defy EV SUV. A big 15.6-inch touchscreen is also added to the dashboard, and a 5G connection allows it to be utilised for online browsing and navigation. The company claims that the infotainment system will include onboard gaming with the ability to add new games via over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Amazing Features
The Defy will have two high-power USB-C connectors that can also be used to charge laptops, two independent climate control zones for the front and back passengers, mood lighting, multiple wireless chargers, and a linked car app. The SUV will also come with a unique key card, and it can be locked or unlocked via linked car technology. A 77GHz solid-state radar, 360-degree cameras, and adaptive LED lighting are all included with the SUV. According to the business, automatic emergency braking for the Defy EV SUV will eventually be possible and enabled by an over-the-air update. Six airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system are included as standard equipment.
Also, Telemetry operations are controlled via a second 10-inch screen that is located behind the steering wheel. Depending on the driving mode, this screen can be customised and modified. According to Pravaig, the Defy SUV will also have 3D sound from French audio specialist company Devialet.

The all-electric Defy will be powered by a 90kWh battery pack, and two electric motors which make 402bhp and 620Nm of torque. It can give a range of well over 500km, according to Pravaig. The SUV supports 160kW DC quick charging. The battery pack is therefore said to take 30 minutes to charge from empty to 80%. The Defy can go from 0 to 100 kph in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210 kph.
