Renault Kwid 800cc discontinued in India for THIS reason? All you must know

Renault Kwid 800cc: The 800cc Kwid has been quietly removed from the official Renault India website. The entry-level hatchback’s RXL and RXL (O) models were both powered by a 0.8-litre petrol engine. With this update, there are now only five variations of the Renault Kwid that are available with the 1.0-litre petrol engine.

In terms of the Kwid 800’s 0.8-litre petrol engine, the vehicle was able to produce a maximum of 52bhp and a maximum torque of 72Nm. An automatic five-speed gearbox was coupled to the engine.

The reason behind the move?

The corporation has not yet made any official announcements. Although the exact reason is unknown, the implementation of the country’s new BS6 Phase 2 and RDE emission requirements is most likely to be to blame.
