The new “L” platform will be used for the new Royal Enfield electric bike’s design. These vehicles will be created in association with Spanish EV two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield and Stark Future SL. The parent company of Royal Enfield, Eicher Motors, invested in Stark Future SL last year. Both businesses have teamed up for joint research and development of electric motorcycles, technology sharing, and technical licencing. The company’s electric bike will have exceptionally high performance.
Company’s Plan
The business intends to invest Rs 1,000 crore in FY 23–24 for the production of electric vehicles, the development of new products, and its current ICE line. Chennai will soon be home to Royal Enfield Cheyyar’s third production facility. which the business will use as a production hub for electric vehicles.
We have only seen the front of the electric bike from Royal Enfield so far. But this has provided a lot of information about the bike. It features neo-classical and retro styling. The bike has a classic look due to its front suspension, which is similar to that found on vintage bikes. Its fuel tank is similar to the ICE variant, same goes for the headlight. Another intriguing aspect of the bike is its chassis. It splits into two sections that travel to the top and bottom of the fuel tank.
