Know about the design
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 resembles its smaller edition, the Gixxer 150. The motorcycle has the same all-LED headlamp as its younger variant, as well as the contoured fuel tank. The Gixxer 250 has an LCD instrument cluster that provides the rider with a wealth of information such as an oil change alert, gear position indication, tachometer, speedometer, two trip metres and a digital clock.
The Gixxer SF 250 also features a straight handlebar rather than a clip-on handlebar assembly, and the split seat layout adds a sporty flair to the naked streetfighter. The Gixxer 250 is offered in two colour schemes: Metallic Matte Platinum Silver with Metallic Matte Black and Metallic Matte Black.
Know about the engine and powertrain
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 is powered by a 249cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine, which is also used in the Gixxer SF 250. The motor produces approximately 26 bhp of peak power at 9000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm when combined with a 6-speed gearbox. Suzuki claims that their oil cooling system was designed specifically for Indian weather conditions.
The KTM Duke 250 is powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The unit paired with a six-speed gearbox produces about 30 bhp of peak power at 9000 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7500 rpm. The Duke 250 is a more powerful motorcycle compared to its rival here and also gets a more advanced liquid cooling system.
