Tata Motors New SUVs: From Safari and Curvv to Punch EV, here are some of the revamped variants to hit the market during festive season

Tata Motors New SUVs: This holiday season, Tata Motors will launch a completely revamped SUV line-up in the Indian market. In the second half of the current fiscal year, the brand will release up to six new and improved items. PB Balaji, Group CFO at Tata Motors, stated on a post-Q1 earnings call that “from this point forward, the launch cycle is kicking in and we will be going full blast with a series of fresh launches. We now have more tools to develop. We are pretty confident and will now begin batting.

Tata Punch CNG

The Punch CNG, which was previewed earlier this year at Auto Expo 2023, will open the proceedings. The Hyundai Exter CNG, which was just unveiled, will be directly competed with by the CNG-powered Punch, which is anticipated to go on sale in the first week of August. The Tata Motors’ revolutionary twin-CNG cylinder setup, which frees up more cargo space than standard CNG vehicles, will be available with the CNG powertrain option on practically all variants of the Punch.

Tata Safari SUV

A mid-lifecycle update is also planned for the well-known Harrier and Safari SUVs, and production of the updated models could begin as early as September 2023. Both SUVs will have new alloy wheels, redesigned front and back ends, and a few other exterior aesthetic changes. In the meanwhile, the inside will also receive some cosmetic improvements, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and maybe a fully digital instrument cluster. To better compete with their rivals, the SUVs will receive minor visual modifications and adjustments to the gear lever design.

Tata Motors New SUVs: Tata Curvv SUV

The Nexon, a staple in Tata Motors’ SUV lineup, will also get a significant upgrade. Similar to the facelifts for the Harrier and Safari, the Nexon will also receive significant design changes that will take inspiration from the Curvv SUV concept unveiled at the Auto Expo. The interior of the vehicle will feature more upscale features, including a new infotainment system, switchgear, and steering wheel.Around the same time, Tata Motors will unveil the facelift for the Nexon’s petrol, diesel and electric models. Our sources claim that the EV might get a somewhat different front end to differentiate it from its ICE-powered predecessor.

Tata Punch EV

In addition to the aforementioned model revisions, Tata Motors will also launch the Punch EV. The majority of the body panels on the electric variant will be shared with the conventional Punch, although it might have a special set of alloy wheels and other cosmetic changes. It will have switchgear inside that is similar to the Nexon makeover, and it might possibly gain capabilities like a 360-degree camera. The Ziptron powertrain from Tata Motors, which incorporates a liquid-cooled battery and a permanent magnet synchronous motor driving the front wheels, is most likely to be used in the Punch EV. The battery and electric motor’s precise characteristics are yet unknown.
