Tata Nexon iCNG: The Tigor and Tiago with CNG AMT gearboxes were introduced last week, making them the nation’s first automatic CNG vehicles. With the introduction of the first turbocharged petrol CNG vehicles in India, Tata is now going above and beyond. The Nexon iCNG will make its premiere at the Bharat Mobility Autoshow. Read on to know more about this SUV.
Tata Nexon iCNG powertrain details
Tata is going to launch the Nexon iCNG at the Bharat Mobility event tomorrow. Based on the recently remodelled Nexon SUV, the Tata Nexon iCNG concept shares nearly all of the same features and looks as the Nexon petrol or diesel, with the exception of a few cosmetic and mechanical changes specific to CNG. When the CNG arrangement is combined with the 1.2-litre Nexon turbocharged engine, it will be the first turbocharged petrol CNG car in the country. Although the specifications are unknown, we don’t expect any notable changes based on prior Tata CNG vehicles.
Tata’s to showcase some more cars
The Nexon iCNG concept will be showcased at the event with the Harrier EV, Curvv, Punch EV, and Altroz Racer concepts. The Curvv SUV is slated to go on sale later this year, and the Altroz is expected to get a facelift featuring components from the Racer concept. Later during the year, the production-ready Harrier EV will go on sale.
