Tata: The carmaker has started accepting reservations for the models after initially releasing the teasers for the CNG AMT versions of the Tata Tiago and Tigor. As the first vehicle in the country’s auto industry to provide a CNG-AMT combo, the Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG AMT will also be a first in their segment. Tata Tigor and Tiago CNG Automatic: All You Must Know
Today, the business began accepting reservations for Tiago and Tigor iCNG AMT. Tata Motors is leading the way in a new trend with the introduction of automatic gearbox in CNG vehicles by utilising Twin Cylinder CNG technology to free up the much-needed cargo space in CNG cars. Beginning today, customers can reserve their favourite automobile online for Rs 21,000 or in person at their closest Tata Motors authorised dealership.
There will be two variations of the Tata Tigor iCNG AMT, XZA CNG and XZA+ CNG, and three types of the Tata Tiago iCNG AMT: XTA CNG, XZA+ CNG, and XZA NRG.
Powertrain details
The 5-speed automatic manual gearbox (AMT) will be available for the CNG versions of the Tata Tiago and Tigor. The same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine will be mated to the AMT unit. The motor on the CNG variant generates 72 horsepower and 95 Nm of peak torque, while the pure-petrol version delivers 85 horsepower and 113 Nm. According to Tata, there won’t be any noticeable differences between the drivability of petrol and CNG vehicles.
