Top SUVs in India: The demand for SUVs in the Indian auto market is at an all-time high. Due to a lack of semiconductor chips, the automakers are finding it difficult to meet the demand that is growing quickly. This is the reason why a number of well-liked models have lengthy waiting lists. Nevertheless, a few SUVs have relatively short waiting times. These models’ salient features are listed below.

Top SUVs in India: Nissan Magnite

The subcompact SUV from the Japanese carmaker, the Nissan Magnite, now has a waiting period of up to 15 days. According to reports, its CVT variations would be ready in 2–10 days. However, there is a three-month waiting time for the red SUV colour option. The 1.0L normally aspirated and 1.0L turbocharged gasoline engines that power the Magnite provide 72 and 100 horsepower, respectively. Diesel engines are not a possibility. Standard transmissions are 5-speed manuals, while CVT automatic transmissions are the only transmissions available with the turbo-petrol version.

Top SUVs in India: Renault Kiger

Depending on the exterior colour scheme, customers can expect to receive their Renault Kiger compact SUV in 15 to 30 days. Three to four months is the longest waiting period for its red colour model. Similar to the Magnite, customers can choose between a 10L NA petrol engine and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine for the Kiger. The business upgraded the SUV model portfolio earlier this year with a few minor aesthetic tweaks and technologies including air purification, wireless charging, and cruise control.

Top SUVs in India: Hyundai Alcazar

Depending on the type and colour, the Hyundai Alcazar is allegedly available for immediate delivery. Some of its variations are available in 15–20 days. The model lineup is available in two seating arrangements, 6 and 7 seats, and three trim levels: Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. The Alcazar has a 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine with 115 bhp and 250 nm of torque and a 2.0L, 4-cylinder gasoline engine with 159 horsepower and 192 nm of torque. There are both manual and automatic gears available. Its fuel manual and automatic models are said to get 14.5 and 14.2 kilometres per gallon, respectively. The diesel engine provides 18.1kmpl with an automatic transmission and 20.4kmpl with a manual gearbox.

Delivery of the Volkswagen Taigun is anticipated to take between 20 and 45 days. According to reports, some Volkswagen stores in Hyderabad have both the 1.0L manual and automatic versions of the SUV in stock. The 1.0L, 3-cylinder turbo TSI petrol and 1.5L, 4-cylinder turbo TSI petrol engines are now offered in the Taigun. The latter produces 150 bhp with 250 Nm, compared to the former’s maximum power of 115 bhp with 175 Nm. The basic transmission is a 6-speed manual. The 1.5L TSI comes standard with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, while the 1.0L TSO engine is also available with a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission.

Depending on the colour, there is now a waiting list of up to 2-3 months for MG’s Astor SUV. Being equipped with Level 2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) features, it is the first SUV in its class. A 10.1-inch touchscreen entertainment system, Jio e-SIM for linked car features, an in-car personal assistant, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, and other features are some of its standout characteristics. The MG Astor has a 1.5L gasoline engine and a 1.3L turbocharged gasoline engine (reserved for top two trims). Both a manual and automatic transmission are available for the SUV.
