Toyota Fortuner and Hilux to come with mild hybrid engines in 2024, all you should know

Toyota Fortuner: According to plans verified by the company abroad, the Toyota HiLux and Fortuner will have hybrid power in 2024. However, it is not anticipated to offer the same fuel savings as Toyota hybrid petrol-electric hatchbacks and SUVs.

Toyota Fortuner and Hilux hybrid powertrain details

Toyota is likely to electrify the present powertrains for the hybrid versions of the Fortuner and Hilux even though the specifics of the hybrid powertrains have not yet been made public. It will likely be equipped with a mild hybrid system and a 2.8-litre, turbocharged diesel engine with 204 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The future release of a powerful hybrid Fortuner and Hilux model by Toyota is still uncertain.
