Toyota Glanza 2023: The first rebadged Maruti model that Toyota produced in India has been superseded by the luxury hatchback Toyota Glanza with the introduction of the second-generation Maruti Baleno. The mild hybrid engine has been replaced with a new generation 1.2 petrol engine with engine stop/start. A 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT transmission option is offered. It is cleverly set off from the Maruti Baleno, its badge-engineered competition, by the use of black cladding and chrome at the front. Safety has also increased, with premium specifications including up to six airbags.
Engine and other features
The Toyota Glanza has a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, speech recognition, automated climate control, and cruise control in addition to a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Toyota Glanza is powered by a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder, dual VVT petrol engine that produces 89 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. Fuel efficiency for the E-CNG engine’s 76 horsepower and 98.5 Nm of torque is 30.61 km/kg. The petrol engine is mated with both an AMT and a five-speed manual transmission, whilst the E-CNG type is only available with a five-speed manual transmission.
Exterior and interior features
The new Toyota Glanza’s appearance now features a single slat grille, LED projector headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs, front and rear bumpers, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and split LED tail lights. A height-adjustable driver seat, an Arkamys music system, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, automatic climate control, a dual-tone dashboard, rear AC vents, and a heads-up display are all included in the Toyota Glanza facelift’s interior (HUD). Among the model’s safety features are six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, rear parking sensors, a speed alert system, and a seatbelt reminder system.
Toyota Glanza 2023: Price and rivals
With prices starting at Rs. 6.59 Lakh and goes upto Rs. 9.99 Lakh, Toyota has introduced the CNG trims of the Glanza. The hatchback’s middle trim levels, S and G, offer the CNG kit. It costs Rs 95,000 more than the trims powered by gasoline on which it is based. Additionally, the Glanza CNG costs up to Rs 25,000 more than the CNG-powered Baleno, its main rival.
