In terms of appearance, the profile hints that the next-generation Land Cruiser Prado would have a boxy appearance similar to that of the Lexus LX, with a flat roof and a flat hood. In the upcoming weeks, further information regarding the next-generation Prado is anticipated to be released. Although Toyota hasn’t confirmed the rumour, an India launch may potentially be in the works.

Know about the platform

Although Toyota has kept the details of the new Land Cruiser Prado under wraps, it has been announced that the SUV will be offered for sale in North American markets for the first time. In spite of this, the 2024 Land Cruiser Prado will be based on the recently introduced new-generation Lexus GX.

Engine and powertrain

The ladder-frame GA-F platform that the GX is built on, as well as the powertrain, will likely be used by the new-generation Prado. Despite this, the Lexus GX only has a single 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that cranks out a maximum of 349 horsepower and a maximum torque of 649 Nm.
