Triumph Speed 400 vs Royal Enfield Classic 350: The Speed 400, Triumph’s newest model, has made its premiere. It is also the bike from Triumph with the smallest engine capacity and is the most cheap. The British brand has entered a market where Royal Enfield has long held a dominant position with the Classic 350. Engine and powertrain
A 398.15cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that develops 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm powers the Triumph Speed 400. This is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. In contrast, the 349.34cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 produces 19.9 horsepower and 27 Nm. It has a 5-speed transmission.
Know about the features
The Speed 400 is equipped with 43mm USD front forks and a monoshock at the back. Telescoping forks and two spring-loaded shocks are added to the RE Classic 350. Both motorcycles include twin channel ABS and disc brakes on both ends for braking duty. The Speed 400 surpasses the Classic 350 thanks to a number of features like traction control, a slip and assist clutch, and LED illumination.
