TVS Motor: On Monday, TVS Motor Company said that its sales of two-wheelers had dropped by 3.28 per cent in December 2022, with 227,666 units sold, as opposed to 235,392 units recorded in the same month a year earlier.
The automobile manufacturer reported that its domestic sales of two-wheelers increased by 10 per cent in the month of December 2022, with 161,369 units being sold at retail last month as opposed to 146,763 units being recorded in the same month a year earlier.

The company sold 76,766 scooters in December 2022
Last month, TVS sold 124,705 motorcycles, which is 6.73 per cent less than in December 2021, when 133,700 motorcycles were sold. On the other hand, the auto company sold 76,766 scooters in December 2022, which was a 14 per cent increase from December 2021, when they sold 67,533 scooters.
When it comes to companies that have been around for a long time, TVS is still one of the leaders in the Indian electric two-wheeler market. The car company said that its TVS iQube electric scooter sales kept going well and reached 11,071 units by December 2022. The electric scooter is said to have a strong order book and to be getting more and more popular with consumers. In December 2021, the same electric scooter sold 1,212 units. This means that the iQube saw a big jump in sales in December of 2021.

A big drop in sales
On the international market, TVS’s two-wheeler exports sold 66,297 units in December 2022, compared to 88,629 units in the same month the year before. This is a big drop in sales.
TVS’ two-wheeler business grew by 1.2% during the third quarter of the current fiscal year. 8.4 lakh units were sold, compared to 8.3 lakh units in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
