Volkswagen ID.2: VW has been preparing to release a budget-friendly electric hatchback for some time. This has led to the discovery of fresh information. It claims that on March 15, Volkswagen will host an event to introduce the new ID.2 model. VW might utilise its improved MEB+ architecture to construct the ID.2.
VW is regarded as the world’s top manufacturer of electric vehicles. Now that the forthcoming ID is an entry-level electric hatchback, the business is prepared to broaden the appeal of its ID series. The MEB+ platform will be used to construct this vehicle.
A new Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack will be included. At first, it is anticipated that ID.2 will incorporate elements of ID.3’s design.
Volkswagen ID.2 battery details
VW has not yet disclosed the technological details that will be available in the future ID.2. The car is anticipated to have a more effective electric motor, which will provide it with the necessary power. The brand-new lithium iron phosphate battery that is already installed in the car will give power to the electric motor.

Clamshell bonnet, LED headlights, full-width LED DRLs, blackened pillars, ORVMs, flared wheel arches, sloping roofline, and designer alloy wheels are some of the features of the VW ID.2. In this, a rear spoiler that is attached to the roof is possible.
The vehicle will have a touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options and a digital instrument panel. The Volkswagen ID.2’s interior can be kept quite basic. Although no specifics have been made public yet, it is anticipated that this hatchback would have a spacious cabin that can accommodate 5 people.
It will offer a multifunctional steering wheel, automatic climate control, and premium upholstery with ambient lighting.
Expected Price and launch date
This VW is thought to be the brand’s most affordable electric vehicle to date.
The corporation will provide information about this car on March 15, but details regarding the price are probably only going to be available by the end of the year.
