Yamaha MT125: Special edition equipped with Akrapovic exhaust, will compete with Kawasaki Z125 and KTM 125, all we know so far

Yamaha MT125: Recently, at the Osaka Motorcycle Show 2023, Yamah Motor unveiled the MT125 Special Edition to the public for the first time. It is anticipated that the Yamaha MT125 Special Edition will soon be available for purchase across the globe. This edition comes standard with a variety of add-ons. Taking all of this into consideration, it is reasonable to assume that the Special Edition Yamaha MT125 might be introduced to the Indian market as well.

The MT125 Special Edition has blue-colored adjustable levers

When it comes to the add-ons, the motorcycle features a windscreen that is short and broad, much like the one found on the Yamaha MT10. The MT125 Special Edition has blue-colored adjustable levers and an aluminium crankcase cover for protection. In addition to that, a fender eliminator package is installed on the back end of the Yamaha MT125.

On the mechanical side, the Special Edition MT125 features an Akrapovic exhaust with a carbon-fiber tip as standard equipment. Among the other accessories is a brand new paint design that combines Yamaha Blue and Cyan. The Yamaha MT125 comes equipped with a variety of features, including a TFT instrument dashboard and a traction control system, among other things.

Competitors of MT125

It is anticipated that the Yamaha MT125 Special Edition will also be made available for purchase in the Indian market. Customers in India, however, currently have the option of purchasing the 2023 model year Yamaha MT-15, which comes equipped with a stability control system. In terms of other motorcycles that are similar to it, the Kawasaki Z125, the Honda CB125, the Suzuki GX125, and the KTM 125 Duke are some of the competitors that the MT125 faces in international marketplaces.

In the meantime, Yamaha has released an upgraded version of the FZ-X in India at a price of Rs 1,35,900 (ex-showroom), which is an increase of Rs 10,000 in comparison to the previous model. The traction control system receives the most significant upgrade for the 2023 Yamaha FZ-X.
