2025 Skoda Octavia Facelift: With a fresh look, a redesigned cabin, a tonne of features, and a choice of powertrains, the Skoda Octavia has been introduced to the global market. With its enhanced performance, the vRS version of the sedan will probably be the only one available in India. The sedan will likely make its debut in the international market first. Here’s all you need to know about the just-released Skoda Octavia.
2025 Skoda Octavia Facelift Powertrain details
The 1.5-litre, 116-horsepower standard engine’s turbocharger has been redesigned to reduce heat loss and increase efficiency. The car comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, but it may also be ordered with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which adds a 48V mild-hybrid system that increases fuel efficiency by allowing the car to drive smoothly when the engine is entirely off.
With 150 horsepower, the 1.5-litre engine is also available with a choice of manual or automatic gears, with the latter receiving a mild hybrid. With 265 horsepower and 370 Nm delivered to the front wheels, the top-of-the-line vRS shares its 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine with the new VW Golf GTI. After the manual was discontinued last year, the only available transmission option is still the seven-speed auto.
A 2.0-litre diesel engine, along with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, can generate 116 horsepower and 150 horsepower, respectively, when used with the Octavia facelift.
Features onboard
A 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with dual-zone climate control, Ambient Lighting, a 10-inch digital driver’s display, electrically adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay are among the features of the 2025 Octavia.
Together with ChatGPT integration, the Octavia will have infotainment system capabilities beyond voice command activation on a global scale. Various airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are examples of safety features.
Expected price in India
The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS is anticipated to arrive in India later this year. Ex-showroom, costs are estimated to start around Rs 40 lakh (because it’s supposed to be a fully imported vehicle). No direct competitors will exist when Octavia is introduced here.
