BYD Seal Vs Kia EV6: The electric vehicle market is registering an unprecedented growth rate in India. BYD has recently launched its all-new premium all-electric SUV in India. Taking note of the decent sales of products such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Kia EV9 and BYD Seal, it can be ideated that the Indian electric vehicle market is heading towards increased premiumisation. The newly launched BYD Seal and the Kia EV6 offer some top-of-the-line features, but the competitive auto market like India doesn’t allow any particular brand to rule the segment. One of the worthy competitors of BYD Seal is the Kia EV6 in India.
Both Seal and EV6 are premium electric SUVs promising exhilarating performance, sleek designs and a comfortable ride. But how do they stack up against each other? Let’s delve into the key areas to help you decide which one is the best option for you.
BYD Seal Vs Kia EV6: Design
The newly launched BYD Seal comes with a sporty ocean-inspired design and aesthetics. The Seal gets sleek lines, muscular-looking curves and sharp cuts that enhance its sporty stance. On the other hand, the Kia EV6 gets a more premium and futuristic look. The Kia EV6 looks better sculpted, it also gets an integrated spoiler and Kia signature LED daytime running lights which make it look like an advanced machine. Both BYD Seal and Kia EV6 feature panoramic sunroofs.
BYD Seal Vs Kia EV6: Performance
The all-new BYD Seal is on offer in two battery pack options- 61.4kWh and an extended range battery pack with a capacity of 82.5kWh. While the formers provide acceleration from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds, the extended-range version gives more importance to efficiency and goes from 0-100 kmph in 5.2 seconds. The BYD Seal is available in both RWD and AWD versions.
On the other hand, the premium beast Kia EV6 comes equipped with a 58.2kWh battery pack in the base model. The EV6 accelerates from 0-100 in 7.3 seconds which is slightly more than the BYD Seal. However, the high-performance GT-Line variant AWD variant of the SUV leaves BYD Seal far behind in terms of acceleration, going from 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds. So, the Kia EV6 emerges as a raw performance star.
BYD Seal Vs Kia EV6: Features
The BYD Seal features a large rotatable touchscreen for infotainment and a digital instrument cluster. The Kia EV6 offers a similar setup with two curved panoramic displays dominating the dashboard. Both offer advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
When it comes to interior space, the BYD Seal offers a slight advantage due to its larger dimensions. However, the Kia EV6 isn’t far behind, providing ample legroom and headroom for passengers. Both offer premium materials and a focus on comfort, creating a luxurious driving experience.
