Citroen Basalt: The highly anticipated coupe crossover known as the Citroen C3X is now renamed as the Citroen Basalt by the French automaker. In the latest teaser, the automaker mentions that the Coupe offering will make its global debut on March 27 i.e. tomorrow. The upcoming will sit above the C3 Aircross SUV. The upcoming SUV will derive some of its features from the C3 Aircross. The major difference will be the coupe design of the Basalt. Curious to know more about the Coupe SUV? Citroen Basalt: Features

In terms of features, the automaker is said to have provided more features in C3 Aircross than any of its previous models. On the feature front, the Coupe Basalt is expected to come with a 10-inch or bigger infotainment screen, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless smartphone connectivity, electrically adjustable ORVMs, wireless charging, ventilated seats in the front, ambient lighting and a digital driver display. Additionally, Basalt is also expected to carry some best-in-segment features.

Engine and Transmission

As far as power is concerned, the Citroen Basalt is expected to retain the 1.2-litre turbo petrol unit. In Citroen’s other offerings, this powerhouse produces 109 bhp of power and a peak torque of 205 Nm. The powerhouse will be paired with a six-speed manual and torque converter unit.

Citroen Basalt Expected Price in India

Although, the company has not announced any details regarding the price of the upcoming crossover. But being a straight rival to the Tata Curvv in India, the Basalt is expected to be priced under 20 lakh in India.
