Rivalling other ladder frame-based lifestyle pickups like the Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Chevrolet Colorado, and Volkswagen Amarok is the well-known Ford Ranger, which is offered in many different nations. In addition to having a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that produces a robust 288 horsepower, an upgraded chassis, additional off-road equipment and a more aggressive appearance than the basic Ranger, it also comes with a number of petrol and diesel engine alternatives.

Although the Ford Endeavour SUV, which is scheduled to return to India soon, shares many similarities with the Ranger, the latter has never been sold in the country. In India, the Toyota Hilux and the Isuzu D-Max are now available for purchase; if Ford chooses to introduce the Ranger, it might pose a serious threat to them.
