Hyundai Verna 2023 spied, may come with a dual screen setup, all details here

Hyundai Verna 2023: Hyundai Verna, consistently rated as one of the top three mid-size cars in the nation, is anticipated to receive some significant upgrades in the following model year. Recent road test mules of the New Verna have been spotted, and its appearance at the 2023 Auto Expo is anticipated. Thanks to automobile enthusiasts, we have a sneak glance at its inside in the most recent spy photos.

Despite the fact that sales of mid-size sedans are far less than those of SUVs, Hyundai would still like to keep the loyal following that Verna has garnered over the years. Right now, Honda City is the market leader in the mid-size sector. Hyundai will try to match the new Honda City Hybrid variant’s variety of first-in-segment features with the Verna. Another significant opponent of the Verna in terms of sales is the Skoda Slavia.

Hyundai Verna 2023 Design

The 2023 Verna will follow the same design ethos as previous modern Hyundai cars. A front grille that is sportier and more reminiscent of the Tucson will be a significant change. The redesigned grille on the new Verna will feature a parametric design in a dark chrome finish as opposed to the mesh-type grille that now exists. It will have positioning lamps, LED MFR headlamps, and integrated LED DRLs.

The Sonata and Elantra could be used as inspiration for some of the design cues. The redesigned Verna is anticipated to have split tail lamps with an attached light strip at the rear. Overall, the new Verna will be sportier and crisper than the outgoing model. The new Verna will basically have the same dimensions. The current design measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height, and has a 2,600 mm wheelbase. With lengths of 4,549 mm and 4,541 mm, respectively, the competing Honda City and Skoda Slavia are lengthier.

Engine specifications

Hyundai’s new Verna could have mild hybrid technology. A plug-in hybrid variant may potentially be taken into consideration later, particularly for global markets. There are three engine choices for the current Verna: a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. 115 PS of maximum power and 144 Nm of maximum torque are produced by the 1.5-litre petrol engine. Either a 6-speed manual or an IVT transmission is linked to it.

Verna diesel models come with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission and produce 115 PS/250 Nm. The turbocharged petrol engine produces 120 PS and 172 Nm. A 7-speed DCT is connected to it.

Interiors

The interior of the new Verna has been redesigned, including the dashboard, infotainment system, and instrument screens. Spy images reveal a twin-screen arrangement, which has been seen in vehicles like the Mahindra XUV700 and high-end Mercedes models. Interiors with more room, especially for the backseat passengers, may be coming. New connectivity options could be one of the highlights.

A touchscreen infotainment system with an 8-inch display and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are features of the current model. Hyundai Blue Link connected car technology provides access to a variety of connectivity functions. It’s also possible to add some new voice commands.

It is uncertain whether the new Verna will include ADAS capabilities. The only mid-size sedan with ADAS at the moment is the Honda City hybrid.
