Powertrain Details
The Kia Carens is offered with three different powertrain options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 horsepower, a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 horsepower, and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 160 horsepower. There is only a six-speed manual gearbox available for the other two variants, the iMT clutchless manual and the NA petrol. Regarding automated gearboxes, the diesel engine is equipped with a six-speed torque converter, while the turbo-petrol engine is mated to a seven-speed DCT.
For the 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild hybrid technology (103PS/137Nm) in the Ertiga, there are two gearbox options: a five-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter. It also comes with a CNG powerplant that produces 121.5 Nm and 88 PS less than the standard output.
Features onboard
Among the features of the Kia Carens are an electric one-touch folding second-row seat, cruise control, a digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Included are front seats with air conditioning, a sunroof with a single pane, and 64-hue ambient lighting.
In addition to paddle shifters, cruise control, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, the Maruti Ertiga comes with a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen entertainment system. Both the automatic air conditioning and projector headlights have been retained. The electronic stabilisation programme (ESP), hill-hold assistance, a rear parking camera, and up to four airbags are among the onboard safety functions.
