Kia Carnival: The fourth version of the Kia Carnival MPV, which was introduced in numerous nations in 2020, is presently in production. India continues to receive the third generation model in 2023. As the new generation Carnival was unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo earlier this month in India, that is probably about to change soon. But it appears Kia is getting ready to reveal a facelifted Carnival 4th generation before India will get the new Carnival.
One of the most appealing and modern-looking MPVs on the market right now is Carnival. Despite this, Kia has chosen to update the new-generation Carnival MPV for international markets. When it comes to updating their lineup, Hyundai and Kia have always been very ambitious.
Kia Carnival Facelift
MPVs no longer have the dull appearance of the past. Manufacturers have worked very hard to make their MPVs as appealing as possible. especially with large MPVs like the Kia Carnival, Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna, and Mercedes-Benz EQV.
The fourth-generation Carnival is already the best example of an MPV design. Carnival’s already eye-catching appearance will get a boost from Kia. In South Korea, test mules for the Kia Carnival facelift have been sighted. According to the released spy photos, Kia appears to have drawn design ideas from the EV9 electric SUV concept.
On the outgoing model, there is a large grille with a criss-cross pattern that stretches toward its edges in a V shape. The headlights are arranged and split horizontally. With a low beam at a conventional spot and a high beam placed in the grille with an LED pattern separating the two. There are C-shaped patterns at the lower bumper ends with fog lamps. On the Kia Carnival facelift, we can see a new horizontal light bar at the front that doubles as an LED DRL. This is much more in line with Hyundai and Kia’s design language and looks similar to the EV9 concept’s horizontal light bar. Headlights are now vertically stacked and fog lamps seem to be given a miss.
Features and specifications
Other than these, there haven’t been any noticeable exterior alterations. To liven up the inside a bit, Kia might add a few extra amenities. As of right now, Carnival provides a tonne of facilities, luxuries, and a tonne of interior space.

The updated Kia Carnival is probably mechanically identical to the previous design. Carnival is offered with a 3.5L V6 petrol engine option in the USA and a 2.0L 4-cylinder petrol engine in China. A 2.2L diesel engine with a single 8-speed torque converter is available in a select few locations, including India. It generates about 440 Nm of torque and 200 horsepower of power. The forthcoming 4th generation Carnival may also be powered by this powertrain, which is currently powering the third generation Carnival in India.
