Kia EV3: Kia has unveiled the EV3, a brand-new compact all-electric sport utility vehicle. This incredible five-seater automobile will be available in two versions: Standard and GT-Line. For this edition, nine striking exterior colours are offered. Prior to making its way to Asia in 2025, this revolutionary electric car will first be unveiled in South Korea and subsequently in other worldwide markets.
Kia EV3: Built on the E-GMP Platform
Adhering to the brand’s ‘Opposites United’ design concept, the Kia EV3 shares its E-GMP platform with the EV5 and EV9. This compact SUV is built to impress, measuring 4,300mm in length, 1,850mm in width, 1,560mm in height, and 2,680mm in wheelbase.
Kia EV3 Sleek and Stylish Design
The EV3 has an elegant appearance that is echoing a scaled-down version of EV9. With a blanked-off grille, L-shaped LED DRLs that blend in perfectly with the tiger-nose-inspired front, cubical LED headlamps, and wide air intakes on the lower bumper, it has the signature Kia EV appearance. Its SUV characteristics are highlighted by the sides’ sloping roofline, squared-off wheel arches, and heavy body cladding. The rear end is similar to the EV9, with a powerful dual-tone bumper and a clean tailboard surface. The aerodynamically designed alloy wheels are an interesting addition. Sportier bumpers are added to the GT-Line variant for an added dash of style.
Kia EV3 Powerful Performance
The EV3 has two battery options: the basic model (58.3 kWh) and the Long Range (LR) variation (81.4 kWh), which has a range of up to 600 km (WLTP cycle). A 204PS/283Nm electric motor powers both variants, allowing it to reach a peak speed of 170 mph and approximately 7.5 seconds from 0 to 100 mph. The 400V electrical design of the EV3, in contrast to the EV9, enables it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes.
High-Tech Interior of Kia EV3
The EV3’s interior has a dashboard that is similar to the EV9’s, with dual 12.3-inch floating infotainment screens, haptic controls, and sleek AC vents. A 12-inch heads-up display, a sunroof, dual-zone temperature control, ambient lighting, a wireless charger, Harman Kardon audio system, and Kia’s most recent AI assistant are among the extra features.
Kia EV3: Ample Space and Advanced Safety
There is 460 litres of cargo capacity and a 25 litre frunk in the EV3. To provide a safe driving experience, it also has level 2 ADAS, which includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and front collision avoidance.
Kia EV3 India Launch
The MG ZS EV and BYD Atto3 will be competitors of the Kia EV3 when it is introduced in India. The pricing of the Kia EV3 in India is rumoured to be between Rs 30 lakh and Rs 40 lakh, which would make it a formidable competitor in the electric SUV market.
