Sharper Looks Inspired by Kia’s EV Siblings
The front of the Kia EV6 got a big update to look more like Kia’s other new electric cars such as EV5 and EV9. The teaser represents a new bumper, grille and headlights.
Consider sharp, angular LED daytime running lights that are nearly triangular in form, echoing the design language of Kia’s newest electric vehicles. The primary lighting units are smaller and have a distinctive vertically stacked configuration, which adds a touch of futuristic flare.
Subtle Tweaks at the Back
The EV6’s back retains the eye-catching edge-to-edge light bar, but the lighting elements within have been modernised for a more contemporary appearance. The back bumper is also slated to get some design adjustments, however the SUV’s general appearance seems to remain familiar.
Expected Revamped Cabin and Potential Power Boost
While official interior design details are still being kept under wraps, we can expect the cabin to be updated as well. There might be feature updated control surfaces and a new-look steering wheel, similar to what we have seen on the EV5 and EV9.
Bigger Battery on the Horizon?
The powertrain’s exact specifications have not yet been made public. Rumour has it that the EV6 might take a cue from its cousin, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which got a larger battery pack during this year’s mid-cycle upgrade. This may result in the EV6 having a bigger battery pack. Which might increase its driving range.
