Mahindra Thar 5 Door: Mahindra has been working on the 5-door Thar for a while now. Over the previous few years, numerous sightings of the off-roading SUV’s test mules have been documented. Mahindra is scheduled to introduce the 5-door Thar sometime in 2024, as was announced a few months ago. The 5-door Mahindra Thar is reportedly scheduled to debut on August 15 of this year. Mahindra Thar 5 Door powertrain details

There will be a noticeable increase in length and wheelbase dimensions. The classic 2.2-litre mHawk turbo diesel and 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engines, coupled with a choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox, will power the off-road SUV, which is built on the same chassis as the Scorpio N.

Interior and features onboard

The instrument cluster within the cabin will be totally digital, and the dashboard layout will be overhauled, with a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. New features like wireless smartphone charging, rear armrests, Type-C charging ports, an electric sunroof, keyless entry with a start-stop ignition button, a fuel lid that can be opened remotely, and an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror are anticipated to go along with these.
Six airbags, all four disc brakes, front parking sensors, and maybe a 360-degree camera are anticipated safety features for the new five-door Thar. Mahindra has made no announcements on Thar’s ADAS integration to now. Features like ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill descent control, and ESP will still be available.

Expected price in India

The 5-door Thar could cost between Rs. 1 and 3 lakh more than the present model, with a starting price of approximately Rs. 15 lakh, according to analysts, even though the business has not yet confirmed this information.
