Maruti Brezza vs Tata Punch: The Indian automobile is witnessing unprecedented growth and the mid-size and compact SUV is probably the biggest catalyst. Design
The Maruti Brezaa is undoubtedly one of the best contenders in the compact SUV segment. The compact SUV comes with a muscular design language with bold chrome accents and a signature grille. However, Punch is a micro-SUV, but it finely competes with the Maruti Brezza in the Indian auto market. The Punch comes with the Tata’s signature impact 2.0 design. Additionally, the micro-SUV gets LED DRLs, a finely sculpted body and a new and more attractive grille that gives a more attractive appeal to the Punch. Other design elements of the Punch include alloy wheels, wheel arches and prominent claddings.
Performance
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza comes equipped with the 1.5L K15C 1462cc petrol engine which churns out the maximum power of 101.64 bhp and a peak torque of 136.8 nm. The powerhouse allows the SUV to provide an ARAI-approved fuel efficiency of 19.8 kmpl. Talking about the dimensions, the SUV is 3995 mm long, 1790 mm wide and 1685 mm high.
On the other hand, the Tata Punch comes equipped with a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, NA, Revotron petrol engine that produces 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. This powerhouse is BS6 Phase 2-compliant and sends power to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox or an AMT unit.
Maruti Brezza and Tata Punch: India Price
The Maruti Brezza starts with a price tag of Rs. 8.34 lakh which goes up to Rs. 14.14 lakh in India. On the other hand, the Tata Punch micro-SUV is priced at Rs. 6.13 lakh for the base model and goes up to Rs. 10.20 lakh for the top-end model.
