Raptee HV T30: Chennai-based electric vehicle startup Raptee.HV has introduced India’s first high-voltage electric motorcycle, the T30, priced at ₹2.39 lakh. The T30 incorporates advanced technology typically seen in electric cars, positioning it as a strong competitor to 250-300cc internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles.
Key Features: Universal Charging and Advanced Tech
One of the standout features of the Raptee T30 is its compatibility with universal charging standards. The motorcycle is equipped with an onboard charger that allows it to be charged at any of the 13,500 CCS2 car charging stations across India, a network expected to grow further. The T30 also boasts an IDC-estimated range of 200 km and a real-world range of over 150 km per charge. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in under 3.5 seconds.
The bike’s IP67-rated battery pack, resistant to dust and water, meets regulatory standards, offering durability and reliability to users.
Revolutionary Technology
Dinesh Arjun, Co-founder and CEO of Raptee.HV, emphasized the company’s vision, stating, “Our goal was never to create an electric version of an ICE motorcycle, but to do justice to motorcycling with truly pioneering tech. We believe our HV technology is the missing piece of the puzzle that will accelerate the electrification of motorcycles.”
The T30 features a 5.4 kWh Li-ion battery with a CCS2 charging port, and supports both regular and fast charging. Charging from 20% to 80% takes about 60 minutes at 3.3 kW, while fast charging using a car charging station can reduce that time to 36 minutes.
Launch Plans and Warranty
Deliveries of the Raptee T30 will commence in Chennai and Bangalore starting January, with plans to expand to other cities based on market demand. Raptee.HV is also set to open its first experience center, Tech Store.HV, at its Chennai headquarters.
The company aims to reach customers through both direct-to-consumer sales and traditional dealership models. The T30 comes with an 8-year or 80,000-kilometre warranty, providing long-term confidence to buyers.
Advanced Safety and Performance
The motorcycle is equipped with a dual-channel ABS braking system and regenerative braking, enhancing safety and efficiency. With its advanced technology and competitive pricing, the Raptee T30 is poised to make a significant impact on the Indian electric vehicle market.
