Toyota Mirai: In the race to create a more environmentally friendly alternative to electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles are becoming more and more popular. The discovery that hydrogen is capable of producing electricity dates back to the 1800s, although hydrogen fuel cell technology itself dates back to 1932.
The Chevrolet Electrovan, which debuted in 1966, was the first car to use hydrogen fuel cells; but, due to logistical issues, it was not able to enter into mass production stage. After that, there was a discussion of automobiles running on hydrogen until Toyota introduced its Hydrogen Program in 1992.
What Sets Hydrogen Cars Apart
Presently, hydrogen cars are just as practical as those with internal combustion engines and electric motors, particularly in areas with infrastructure for hydrogen fuel. Because they can be charged on the go and provide a better driving range than electric vehicles, hydrogen cars are a more convenient choice for individuals seeking an environmentally responsible vehicle even without sacrificing utility.
