Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G are two new entry-level smartphones from Xiaomi that were just released in India. The only difference between the two cellphones’ specifications is their chipsets. They have a 50MP back camera array, a 5,000 mAh battery, and a 6.7″ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While the Redmi 12 5G will be sold on the Amazon India website, the 4G version will be accessible on Flipkart.

Display, cameras and battery

A 6.79-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate is included in both variants. Both the 4G and 5G variants have 50MP dual back cameras as well as an 8MP front-facing camera. The 5,000 mAh battery of the Redmi 12 5G and Redmi 12 4G supports 18W fast charging.

Redmi 12 5G: Processor and memory

The Redmi 12 4G is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 12nm processor, whereas the Redmi 12 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. The 5G variant has up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage, compared to the 4G model’s maximum of 6GB RAM and 128GB.

Price and availability

In India, the Redmi 12 4G is available in two storage configurations. The price for the 4GB RAM + 128GB internal storage option is Rs 8,999, while the price for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is Rs 10,499. Three storage options are offered with the Redmi 12 launch. Priced at Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, Rs. 12,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and Rs. 14,499 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage variant.
