Engine and powertrain
Maruti Suzuki provides two engine choices for the Celerio: the 67PS/89Nm 1-litre DualJet petrol engine and the 56PS/82Nm 1-litre CNG engine. Both a standard 5-speed manual gearbox and an extra AMT (only for the petrol engine) are available as options. The hatchback’s claimed fuel economy is 26.68 km/l and 35.50 km/l with CNG. The Tata Punch CNG is powered by a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 72.5 horsepower and 103 Nm of maximum torque. Punch CNG has an efficiency rating of 26.99 km/kg.

Five people can fit in the Tata Punch Pure CNG. Power-adjustable exterior rearview mirrors, touch screens and automatic climate control are all features of the Punch Pure CNG. In contrast, the Maruti Celerio VXI CNG is a 5-seater CNG vehicle. The Celerio VXI CNG comes equipped with a multi-function steering wheel, a power-adjustable rearview mirror, an engine start/stop button, an anti-lock braking system, alloy wheels and fog lights.
