WhatsApp Admin Review: One of the most widely used instant messaging apps is WhatsApp. Over 2 billion people use the app owned by Meta globally. In order to enhance the user experience for groups, WhatsApp may soon acquire a new feature dubbed “Admin review,” according to a report from WaBetaInfo. According to the rumour, a new function will let group members report particular messages to the group administrator. It will give WhatsApp group administrators the resources they need to properly manage their groups. The feature has reportedly been discovered in the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.8 version, which is available on the Google Play Store, according to a WaBetaInfo article.
How does WhatsApp Admin Review feature work?
Once enabled, group members will be able to notify the group admin of specific communications. A message that is reported by a group member is sent to the admin for evaluation. With the new functionality, group administrators will have the option to decide whether to delete a message from the group for all members if they think it is inappropriate or against the group’s rules.
The group settings section will have the new option. Only group admins will be able to see reported messages in a new part of the app called group details. As previously announced, a future update of the app will include beta testers with the option to report messages to group admins.
Here are some other features that are likely to be seen
In related news, WhatsApp has launched a variety of new features for Android users, including the option to silence calls from obscene callers, a revised user interface with a bottom navigation bar, the capacity to design single-vote polls, and more. The WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.7 update now includes the feature.
A toggle switch in the Settings > Privacy menu now allows beta testers to place incoming calls from unknown numbers on mute mode. Users can now mute calls from potentially spam phone numbers thanks to this feature. However, the Calls log and alerts tab will still display these calls.
