HOP OXO EV Bike: Hop Oxo deliveries have finally begun. Hop released the Oxo in India a few months ago. It boasts a claimed range of 150km as well as a slew of connectivity features. More information about the electric bike can be found here.

Battery and power

The Hop Oxo is powered by a 5.2kW motor that produces 3kW continuous power and 185Nm at the wheel. Its most powerful model has a 6.3kW motor with a continuous output of 3kW. Hop Electric’s riding modes are Eco, Power, and Sport. Additionally, the Oxo X has a Turbo mode. The top variant claims a top speed of 90kmph in Turbo mode and an 0-40kmph acceleration time of less than 4 seconds.

Brakes and suspension

The Hop Oxo is supported by a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers, with disc brakes at both ends and the safety net of an electronically assisted combined braking system. In addition, there is dynamic regenerative braking. Hop Electric, on the other hand, has a 180mm ground clearance and 18/17-inch alloy wheels.

Variants and price

On both variants, this motor is paired with a 3.75kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a claimed real-world range of 150km. This is the same range as the Oben Rorr and the Revolt RV 400. Interestingly, the Hop Oxo can be charged at any 16amp socket with the portable smart charge with a claimed charging time of 0-80 percent under four hours. The Hop Oxo’s standard variant is priced at Rs 1,24,999, while the X variant is priced at Rs 1,39,999. (both prices including FAME II subsidy and GST).

HOP OXO EV Bike: Rivals

The Hop Oxo competes against the Revolt RV 400, Oben Rorr, and Tork Kratos. The Hop Oxo’s price rivals include the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-S Fi, and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
