Hyundai Ioniq 5 N EV

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N EV: The Ioniq 5 N, Hyundai’s first high-performance EV, has been introduced. With the N Grin Boost mode, the two electric motors may provide a combined output of up to 650 horsepower. Along with performance improvements, the Ioniq 5 N also receives some exterior and interior cosmetic modifications.

Equipped with two combined Motors

As previously indicated, the Ioniq 5 N is propelled by two electric motors with a combined output of 609hp and a maximum speed of 21,000rpm. But when used in Hyundai’s boost mode, N Grin Boost, they produce 650 horsepower and enable the Ioniq 5 N to reach a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 260kph. In the N Grin Boost mode, full available power is available for 10 seconds to maximum acceleration. Hyundai has not released the Ioniq 5 N’s torque rating.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N EV: Battery and power

An 84kWh battery supplies all of this power, but Hyundai has not yet disclosed the battery’s range. Using a 350kW DC fast charger, Hyundai claims that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes.

Brakes and suspension

A four-piston, 400mm front disc and a one-piston, 360mm rear disc are used for braking; according to the automaker, these brakes are made of novel lightweight material and have optimised airflow for increased cooling. The Ioniq 5 N provides up to 0.6G of decelerative force with N Brake Regen, and it stays engaged while braking for up to 0.2G.
