Hyundai Verna 2023: The midsize sedan, the Hyundai Verna 2023, will make its official debut in the nation on March 21. The company has already begun producing the vehicle. The South Korean automaker has also made some significant disclosures regarding the cutting-edge technologies employed in the production of the new Verna. The company makes the sedan in Chennai at a cutting-edge manufacturing facility.
Equipped with Hyundai SmartSense, a Level 2 ADAS
According to the automaker, Hyundai SmartSense, a Level 2 ADAS with over 17 safety features, would debut on the Verna 2023 as the first sedan in its market. Among other important safety features, they include adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, high beam assist, front collision warning, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and driver attentiveness warning.
Hyundai Verna 2023: New intellectual design
Hyundai claims that the new Verna has been designed to offer structural rigidity with increased thickness at the side profiles thanks to reinforced material introduced to the centre and front floor. This is done to ensure the safety of passengers in the cabin. More than 450 intelligent robots are allegedly used in the loT-enabled body-build line for the vehicle, which boasts 100% automated welding.
With high build quality
Hyundai further asserts that the high build quality of the Verna was ensured using methods like 3D scanning and infrared camera inspection. At the production plant, more than 700 fourth-generation robots are in use to automate various manufacturing operations.
Interior design
The most recent Verna will sport a digital cluster with TFT MID and a 10.25-inch HD infotainment screen. It will also have a climate control system that is the first of its kind in the market. A further first-in-segment feature for the Verna 2023 will be heated and ventilated front seats. According to the company, the equipment list will also include an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
Hyundai Verna 2023: Rivals
The 1.5-liter turbo GDi petrol engine that powers the midsize sedan, which competes against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda City, produces a maximum output of 160 PS at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 253 Nm between 1,500-3,500 rpm.
