iPhone 14 and 14 Pro: Apple unveiled the eagerly anticipated iPhone 14 series, the firm’s most recent flagship model, during its Far Out event. Along with the iPhones, the company also unveiled the AirPods Pro gen 2 and the Apple Watch SE, Series 8, and Ultra.
The Cupertino corporation has unveiled four variants in the iPhone 14 series: the entry-level iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and the top-tier iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 series has undergone considerable upgrades from Apple. The Pro models now include the most enhancements. The latest iPhones have the following new features.
Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Pro: No mini variants
Apple has discontinued the small model and introduced the iPhone 14 (sometimes known as the Max model). It is designed for those who want a large display but do not want to spend a lot of money on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and has a sizable 6.7-inch display. If you enjoy small gadgets, you will likely miss the mini version.
Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Pro: No sim tray
The SIM tray has been removed by Apple from US models. Users will need to use an eSIM, and according to Apple, changing the eSIM is simple. The SIM tray will likely remain in the Indian variants for the time being.
Apple iPhone 14 and 14 Pro: Satellite connectivity
Apple has also added capability for satellite communication to iPhones. This will only apply to SOS messages and make it simple for you to send them even when there is no cell connection.
To support users in times of need, Apple has set up a network of ground stations, relay stations, and emergency services. Users will be able to respond to straightforward questions to get assistance. The two-year trial period for this functionality will begin in November.
The four iPhone 14 variants will each have the satellite connectivity option.
Improved cameras
The new 12MP primary camera on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus improves low-light photos with an f/1.5 aperture and 1.9-micron sensor size. The gadgets have a new 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front that supports autofocus.
Crash detection
Support for crash detection will be included in the iPhone 14 series. It will notify the emergency services if it notices a car accident, enabling you to get medical attention immediately. The feature will identify crashes using the accelerometer and gyroscope.
Continuous battery life
All four iPhone 14 versions, according to Apple, would have a “all-day battery life.” The business hasn’t yet provided a precise time frame. According to the firm, this iPhone offers the “greatest battery life ever.”
