Know about the features

Although the base Carens starts at Rs 8.9 lakh and goes up to Rs 17. lakh, so here is an analysis of more of the mid-spec models that are priced similarly to the Ertiga. The Ertiga is priced between Rs. 8.12 to Rs. 10.8 lakh. Aside from other features, the Carens Prestige trim, which costs Rs. 10 lakh, has an 8-inch touchscreen, front- and rear-parking sensors, one-touch electric seat-tumble for the second row, rearview camera, auto headlamps, retractable cup holder, tray, 6 airbags, auto AC, Hill hold function, Hill descent control and tyre pressure monitoring.

Know about the engine and powertrain

The Ertiga has a single 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces a respectable 105 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. The standard gearbox is a 5-speed manual, but top variants receive a 4-speed automated. The 1.5-liter gasoline engine in the Carens base variant produces 115 bhp and 144 lb-ft of torque, and a 6-speed manual gearbox is the only gearbox choice. Despite this, top-end models come with a 7-speed DCT with paddle shifters, ambient lighting combined with drive modes, and a Carens turbo-petrol engine with 142 bhp/242 Nm of additional power. The Carens also receives a 115hp/250Nm diesel with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
