Mahindra Scorpio Classic: Ever since Mahindra launched the Scorpio in 2002, it has been a workhorse in the stable. Since it was introduced last year, the more modern Scorpio Classic has had a lot of demand, which has led to longer waiting times. The waiting times for both Scorpio Classic S and S11 models, according to the most recent reports, can go up to 7 months. Mahindra announced in November of last year that it intended to increase production in order to assist reduce lengthy waiting times for its various SUVs.

Engine and powertrain
A 2.2-liter diesel engine with 132 horsepower and 300 Nm of peak torque powers the Scorpio Classic. The SUV is only offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox; the Scorpio N also offers an automatic gearbox and a 4×4 option. With 9,617 units sold in April 2023, the Scorpio series, which includes the Scorpio N, was the top seller in the Mahindra lineup, outpacing even the Bolero, Thar, and XUV700.
Mahindra Scorpio Classic: Price amd variants
Prices for the Scorpio Classic start at Rs 12.99 lakh for the base S variant and go up to Rs 16.81 lakh for the top-spec S11 model. The Scorpio S has a 7- and 9-seater option, while the S11 is only available as a 7-seater. Both variations offer a choice of seating options. However, the S11 trim offers captain seats as an option while the S trim only offers side-facing chairs. There have been rumours that Mahindra may introduce a new mid-spec model this year under the name S5.
