Mahindra Thar 4×2 RWD: A more affordable version of their off-road SUV Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Thar 2 Wheel Drive (Mahindra Thar 2 RWD), has been introduced by Mahindra. The firm has made numerous upgrades to this SUV, including new colour options, a new powertrain, and new amenities.
Variants
Three different versions of the company’s cheap Thar have been introduced to the market. The first type is designated as MT AX(O)(Diesel), followed by MT LX (Diesel) and AT LX (Petrol).

Price
The Mahindra Thar 2 wheel drive was introduced by the firm with a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh, rising to Rs 13.49 lakh in its highest configuration. Customers can reserve this SUV by going to the business’s website. In addition to this, it can also be reserved by going to the nearby dealership.
Colour options
Two new colors—Blazing Bronze and Everest White—have been added to the Mahindra Thar 2W lineup by the manufacturer; neither of these hues is offered on the original Thar.
Engine and transmission
In the entry-level Thar, Mahindra offers both gasoline and diesel engines as options. A 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 152 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque makes up the first powerplant. The second engine is a 1.5L diesel unit that produces 300Nm of maximum torque and 117HP of power. Both of these engines come with the choice of a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter transmission.
Features
It gains a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, cruise control, halogen lighting, an electrically operated air conditioner, steering-mounted controls, and hard top roof panels rather than removable roof panels as features.
Safety features
The manufacturer has included equipment like dual front airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake distribution (EBD), hill descent control, rear parking sensors, and a front seat belt reminder in the Mahindra Thar 2 wheel drive.
Mahindra Thar 4×2 RWD: Rivals
The soon-to-be-released Maruti Jimny 5 Door and the current Force Gurkha will be the direct competitors of the cheaper variants of the Mahindra Thar in this market.
