The Mercedes E-Class is anticipated to have new styling in 2024 that will be very different from the existing model. The sedan will receive a lot of technical improvements in addition to a plug-in hybrid model.

The previously released Mercedes EQE (EQE) electric vehicle may have had an influence on the new E-Class’s design. Wraparound LED taillights and angular LED headlamps were depicted in the teaser photographs released earlier by the automaker. The teaser also shows that the door handles have been raised up and put above the car’s profile rather than being cut off, as they are on the current generation vehicle. Additionally, the roofline becomes steeper towards the back, giving the car a look that is nearly coupe-like.

Mercedes E-Class 2024: Interior and features

The interior of the 2024 E-Class model is anticipated to undergo the most significant changes. It will be available with a larger 11.9-inch touchscreen centre console display, which is a carryover from the C-Class. The larger 12.9-inch OLED touchscreen infotainment system found in the S-Class may be available as an option from Mercedes. In addition to this, Mercedes can provide a third screen for the front passenger, which is a feature found in newer electric vehicles like the EQS.

Know about the engine and transmission

The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that will power the next E-Class is anticipated to be combined with a 48-volt mild hybrid drivetrain. Additionally, the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel and its turbocharged version should be available for the E-Class. There are rumours that Mercedes will launch the new E-Class with a plug-in hybrid model that has a 28.6kWh battery and might have an electric range of more than 100 kilometres.
