Mercedes-Benz has released the first SUV teaser, which is entirely shrouded in mystery and offers no exact information. The new SUV will be the Maybach brand’s first EV. The brand-new Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 will finally be made public at the recent Auto Shanghai, China, after much anticipation. According to market reports, the new model will adopt the styling of the standard EQS version, which includes features like similar LED headlamps, split LED headlamps, full-width DRLs, and more. As previously mentioned, the teaser revealed nothing about the exterior or interior. We’ll learn more about this next model, which will sit above the EQS 580 4Matic.
Comfortable with amazing design
The automaker unveiled the design for an electric Maybach SUV at the 2021 Munich Auto Show. The concept model resembled a well-known Maybach automobile. Moreover, it had a two-tone paint job. The Maybach logo could be seen on the prototype EV’s exterior and inside, and it had monoblock wheels. The second-row bench seat for three people was replaced, as with all Maybachs, with capacious individual seats with heated neck pillows and massage features.

The future model will probably have some cosmetic changes to the exterior, like a front grille with vertically slatted covering and a lower air vent made of chrome mesh. It is also anticipated to have flashy chrome wheels. We also look forward to seeing the fabled three-pointed star rise to the hood.

For the future EQS 680 SUV, the full-dashboard Hyperscreen is a potential option. Also, it is said that the interior will maintain the same look as the present EQS SUV. The new Maybach car will probably also include plush upholstery, too. The brand-new model may come equipped with 10–12 airbags as well as ADAS technologies including lane assist, cross-traffic aid, collision warning, blind spot warning, and more. Moreover, it is likely to have passive electronic systems like traction control, stability control, ABS, EBD, BBA, and more.

The carmaker hasn’t yet provided any precise information about the new model. Yet according to industry reports, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 SUV’s power source will be a 107kWh battery. It is likely to have two engines with an all-wheel drive system that can produce 536 horsepower and 858 nm. Moreover, it probably has a 458 km electric range.
