New Honda EV Car: Honda has acknowledged that they are developing a specific platform for electric vehicles. There will be “a mid- to large-size” car born from the new EV platform. In 2025, the brand-new EV model will be on sale in all markets. During a presentation on the future of the business, Honda’s president made this announcement. The new EV’s availability in the Indian market is still uncertain as of right now.
Know about the new introduced vehicle
Honda has not yet made many details regarding the new platform public. The Acura ZDX and Prologue’s electrified versions, however, are scheduled to go on sale in 2024. The Ultium platform from General Motors will be used by both of these cars. Both manufacturers intend to keep up their alliance by introducing reasonably priced cars. Beginning in 2027, these new vehicles will be introduced.
New Honda EV Car: What’s new?
The hub of Honda’s EV production will be the North American manufacturing facility. A number of new EVs will arrive in China. Beginning in early 2024, e:NS2 and e:NP2 will debut. By the end of 2024, the e:N SUV concept will also go into production. Beyond this, seven additional electric vehicles would debut by 2027.
New Honda EV Car: Competetor
Honda is aiming to introduce a new mid-size SUV in the Indian market. It will be unveiled in June, and the brand has already provided a sketch of it. Its competitors include the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the Hyundai Creta, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Kia Seltos, the Volkswagen Taigun, the MG Astor, and the Skoda Kushaq.
Know about the engine
The Honda City’s chassis will serve as the foundation for the SUV. The same 1.5-liter petrol engine will power the new Honda SUV, but the maker may adjust it to the car’s specifications. The engine will be coupled to a CVT automatic gearbox and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
