Ola S1 Air EV Scooty: Ola Electric has been one of India’s top 2W EV producers in terms of sales for a long time. Ola recently firmly established the top spot, leaving little room for competitors. The business has introduced the S1 Air, an electric scooter with a starting price of Rs. 84,999 (ex-sh), in India.
Ola S1 Air EV Scooty: Far better than its rival
In terms of range, the S1 Air 2 kWh model has an 85 km range, the 3 kWh model has a 125 km range, and the 4 kWh model has a 165 km range. With all three variations, the 4.5 kW motor (6 horsepower) has a top speed of 85 km/h. Ola S1 Air’s main competition will come from the impending Ather 450S, which may have a larger 3.9 kWh battery.
Price is also lesser than others
Prices for the 450S have been disclosed by Ather Energy, and it costs Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-sh). It lacks a touchscreen and boasts a 115 km range. In contrast, the Ola S1 Air has a range of 165 km, keeps the touchscreen, and is priced at Rs. 85000 for a 2 kWh model, Rs. 1 lakh for a 3 kWh model, and Rs. 1.10 lakh for a 4 kWh model.
Company is giving what they promised
Yes, it is not the Rs. 79,999 that was promised at the unveiling. However, given the updated FAME II plan’s lower subsidies, it makes sense. Deliveries are anticipated to begin this month. In preparation for deliveries, recent test mules might be testing some finishing touches.
Does it has better features?
S1 Air has the potential to rank among the segment’s best value offerings. Particularly with the 4 kWh model. We say this because the Ola S1 Air will still provide several standard features from its top-spec S1 Pro for only minor cost reductions. Less paint on its body panels gives them a two-tone appearance, and other cost-cutting measures include a hub motor that eliminates the need for power transfer from the motor to the wheels.
