Proton X50 SUV: Proton, a Malaysian company, may be attempting to take a piece of the rapidly expanding Indian auto market. According to the most recent spy photos, the automaker has begun testing the X50 compact SUV here.
Know about the dimension
It has a 2600 mm wheelbase and is a small SUV with dimensions of 4330 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, and 1609 mm in height. It would compete against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hycross, MG Astor, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, and the future Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross if it were to be made available in India. It appears to be influenced by the design language of Vauxhall. It is eye-catching and has a strong appeal. It is logically structured up and appears appropriate for the portion within as well.
Know about the lighting system
The X50 crossover has a black roof and rear spoiler on its dual-tone appearance. It boasts wraparound LED taillights with a “Proton” chrome bar in the middle. The vehicle boasts a stylish rear bumper that features a diffuser element and four exhaust tips.
Know about the product positioning
Many Chinese automakers are interested in breaking into the Indian auto industry. For India, they frequently employ one of their non-Chinese companies. A clear example of this is the British brand MG, and the Swedish brand Volvo is already sold in India by Geely. Proton is a Geely subsidiary brand with Malaysian origins.
Proton X50 SUV: Engine
The X50 is available with a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine in the international market. It is available in two tunings: 148 BHP/226 Nm and 175 BHP/255 Nm. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is used in both versions.
