Myntra on Tuesday announced Telugu and Tamil actress Samantha Akkineni as its brand ambassador for South India. The move can be viewed as the online fashion retailer’s strategy to grow its emplacement in the southern region of the country.
“The extremely talented and renowned film personality (Akkineni) will now be the face of Myntra in the South and also instrumental in connecting the brand with millions of fashion-forward customers and drive fashion choices of consumers in the region,” a statement said.
Akkineni who is a popular face in the Southern part will help Myntra in its representation of the fashion market among the region’s extensive audience. Appointment of Akkineni will also be instrumental in connecting the brand with fashion-forward customers.The actress, who is known for her impeccable style, will also play a pivotal role in engaging with new consumers, the company said.

Meanwhile, Myntra on Monday, announced its association with Bollywood actor Kiara Advani, appointing her brand ambassador and celebrity endorser nationwide.
