Tata EV-Only Showrooms: Tata has developed the EV-Only Showrooms idea to investigate the viability of dedicated EV dealerships under the Tata.ev brand as the demand for electric vehicles grows daily. Later this year, Tata Motors intends to launch unique EV-only showrooms in India. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said that the company wants to expand its EV ecosystem and will be investigating the possibility of exclusive EV dealerships under the Tata.ev brand while speaking with the media on the sidelines of the new Nexon and Nexon EV launch.

Chandra responded, “Like a channel investment you see, which is mostly done by the channel partner, and there is a definition, which is slightly more sophisticated and a better experience, given the profile of the customer,” when asked about the investments for this private EV network. Consequently, a delta investment will be made. A charger will also be utilised. Undoubtedly, each shop has received a bit higher investment.

Recently, Tata Motors introduced the updated 2023 Nexon EV in India, with prices ranging from Rs 14.74 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Nexon EV now includes additional high-end amenities and smarter technology in addition to design and stylistic changes. Both mid-range and long-range versions of the electric SUV are available, with the former having a greater, 465 km ARAI-certified range.
